First you will stay at the award-winning, eco-friendly Porini Camps in exclusive wildlife conservancies in Kenya (where there are limits on vehicle numbers and guests are able to be driven off road).  

Then continue to the famous Tanzania parks of Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Tarangire staying in the small and luxurious Nimali Camps.

Safari Itinerary & Prices

Day One Fly from Wilson Airport on the 10:20hrs flight to Nanyuki, arriving at approximately 11:30hrs. You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to Porini Rhino Camp, located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in the foothills of Mount Kenya. Enjoy lunch and afternoon tea in camp and then head off on a game drive with your driver-guide in the camp’s 4×4 safari vehicle. Return to Porini Rhino Camp for dinner and overnight.  

Day Two Awake to the noisy calls of the bush. Enjoy a full day in Ol Pejeta with game drives and walking activities from camp. Stop for a Sundowner at a scenic viewpoint and later return to camp for dinner. Overnight Porini Rhino Camp.  

Day Three Early breakfast, before you depart and transfer to the airstrip for the morning flight to to the Masai Mara. You will be met at the airstrip by your Driver Guide and transfer to Porini Mara Camp, with a game drive enroute. Settle into your tent before enjoying lunch. In the afternoon head out on a game drive with a sundowner at a scenic spot followed by a night game drive with spotlights to search for nocturnal animals, including the elusive leopards which are resident in Ol Kinyei Conservancy, before heading back to camp for dinner. Overnight at Porni Mara Camp.

Day Four A full day spent on a game drive in the famous Maasai Mara Reserve with a picnic lunch in the park and then return to Porini Mara Camp in the late afternoon. Sundowner and night game drive as you return to Camp for dinner. Overnight Porini Mara Camp.  

Day Five A full day to explore the Ol Kinyei Conservancy on the lookout for elephants, buffalo, giraffe, plains game and the big cats. Wake up at dawn and enjoy an early game drive in the conservancy, returning to camp for a late breakfast followed by an escorted nature walk and then lunch. In the afternoon enjoy another game drive in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy with a night drive as you head back to camp driving in the dark with a spotlight for the chance to see the nocturnal animals. Dinner and overnight at Porini Mara Camp.  

Day Six This morning enjoy a game drive in the Conservancy or guided walk before returning to camp for breakfast. Later, transfer to the airstrip (taking a packed lunch) for 1100hrs scheduled flight to Migori (20 minutes). From Migori, you will be transferred via road, to the border town of Isebania, a trip of 40 Minutes. You will be at the border at approximately 1310Hrs. You will clear immigration and customs and cross into Tanzania. This border point being one of the least busy ones, it will take you approximately 20 minutes and a further 10 minutes’ drive to the Tarime airstrip where you will board your schedule flight to the Serengeti. (ETD 1400hrs ETA 1520hrs) . Upon arriving at the Seronera airstrip, a Nimali Camp vehicle will be on standby to transfer you to camp, arriving at around 4.30 pm. The complete trip from the Mara to the camp in Serengeti by air and road takes about five and a half hours. You are booked at Nimali Central Serengeti for 2 nights on full board basis with soft drinks, beer and house wine. You will have shared game drives (morning and later afternoon or full day) in Serengeti National Park. 

 Day Seven After breakfast leave for an early morning game drive. Mornings are a great time for watching lions in action and getting a glimpse of the endangered black rhino. Come back to camp for a hot lunch and relax during the afternoon. Head out for an evening game drive before returning to camp for cocktails and canapés as you watch the sun set. A perfect end to a perfect day, enjoying the dramatic shades of the African sunset! 

Day Eight Early morning game drive in the Park, returning to camp for breakfast. Later, transfer to the airstrip for scheduled flight to Manyara (40 minutes) (ETD 1100hrs ETA 1140hrs). You will be met by a Nimali vehicle at Manyara airstrip with picnic lunches and drive in to Lake Manyara National Park, a 10 minutes drive from the airfield. The park has magnificent scenery and has a variety of wildlife including elephants and lions but the main attraction is the spectacular abundance of birdlife to be seen along the lake shore including pelicans, storks, and a huge variety of waders. After a picnic lunch, exit the Park and take a 45 minute drive to Tloma Lodge in Karatu arriving at around 4pm. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. 

Day Nine After an early breakfast, at approximately 8 am depart from Tloma Lodge and drive into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half day game drive, a trip of 1 hour 35 minutes to the floor or the world famous Ngorongoro crater, a UNESCO heritage site. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Lerai Picnic Site and then depart from Ngorongoro for Tarangire, a trip of 2 hrs 15 mins, arriving at Nimali Tarangire at approximately 4.45 pm. Dinner and overnight at Nimali Tarangire (includes soft drinks, beer and house wine). 

Day Ten After breakfast, depart with packed lunches for a full day wildlife viewing in Tarangire National Park. In the evening, return to Nimali Tarangire for dinner and overnight.  

Day Eleven Breakfast at camp and drive from Nimali Tarangire to Arusha, a trip of just under 2 hours and after a brief stop in Arusha town, transfer to the Kilimanjaro International Airport, a 1 hour trip from Arusha. You will board the 13:50hrs flight to Wilson airport in Nairobi arriving at approximately 15:20hrs. Met on arrival and transfer to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your international departure. 

Optional: from Kilimanjaro you could continue your adventure by adding a beach-extension to the Spice Island of Zanzibar. We can arrange flights and a choice of hotels  

We can arrange Nairobi transfers as well an overnight stay in Nairobi (at a supplement) at the start or end of your safari depending on your international flight times.  

In low season, the flight from Porini Rhino Camp to the Masai Mara for Porini Mara Camp is via Nairobi. In high season, the flight from Porini Rhino Camp to the Masai Mara for Porini Mara Camp is direct.
