Porini Cheetah Camp, like all the other Porini camps, is a small-tented camp designed to maximize your wildlife experience. It is especially suitable for Indian or Sri Lankan visitors as it is hosted by an Indian couple, Jui and Nirmalya Banerjee, the Camp Directors who are avid wildlife enthusiasts and live in the camp

The Porini Cheetah Camp is unfenced and located inside a private conservancy far from the usual safari crowds. It has just six spacious guest tents. The camp offers Wifi Internet in the public areas . The camp is entirely solar-powered and the comfortable tents have fans and charging points for use in the day. Also ensuite bathrooms with hot shower, flush toilet and water on tap. The chef uses fresh ingredients to prepare high quality meals and even home-baked bread. Indian cuisine is available on request.

A fantastic personalized Amazing Experience! This was our first trip to Kenya. We stayed at two other properties before we landed at Porini Cheetah Camp. It is a small exclusive camp with a limited number of tents. This made the experience personal and intimate.

The hosts Jui and Nirmalya were amazing. We have never experienced this kind of a hospitality and we almost felt like we were leaving family when it was time to leave. The food is just fantastic- Jui is ready to cook anything that you desire and meal times were particularly enjoyable as we got to interact with the other guests at the camp.It was great to hear the experiences of other global travellers from various countries and listen to their perspectives. As a result,meal times were lively and thoroughly enjoyable.

The game drive experiences were awesome. We could not believe how close our guides drove us to the Lions and the cheetahs and our experience of watching 4 cheetah cubs playing hide and seek close to the wheels of our jeep was one of the most memorable experiences of the trip. We also particularly enjoyed the thoughtfully packed picnic boxes with yummy goodies and a bottle of wine which made those 'Sundowners' at the African Savanna particularly delightful.

The accessibility to such a wide variety of wild life, the lovely guides who drove us around the conservancy, the warm hospitality of the hosts and the beautifully appointed camp with world class amenities and décor – we could not have asked for better.

Splendid We stayed at Porini Cheetah for 4 nights. We chose this place after a lot of research and we were pleasantly surprised. This place is much more than it promises. We were warmly welcomed by Nirmalya and Jui - the heart and soul of this property. The tents are spacious and comfortable, the staff very courteous and the driver and guide (for game drives) very alert and knowledgeable. The day typically begins here with hot mug of coffee and cookies, followed by submerging safaris and ends by the bonfire and dinner table with a sequence of factual events and adventures at the conservancy. Jui takes detailed care of setting a scrumptious menu everyday and Nirmalya amuses everyone with his knowledge on flora and fauna of the conservancy. overall, a fabulous experience to nurture for life. this place comes to life with the enthusiasm of the hosts, staff and guests. The whole feeling is overwhelming. Absolutely & highly recommended.

Pranay Chandra is a retired officer from the Indian Armed Forces and has a deep passion for nature and wildlife. His passion led him to wildlife photography and his images have won accolades in the much acclaimed Sanctuary Asia annual wildlife awards.He was a finalist in the Natural History Museum annual WPOY awards for 2010 from out of over 31,000 entries. Pranay has been very closely involved with Ecological Task Forces in India and has provided his assistance to WWF India in training of Forest Departmental staff at Corbett, Dudhwa and Pakke Tiger Reserves. He has also been involved with CEC, New Delhi ( Consortium for Educational Communication) and has done a series of educational video recorded programmes on Human Wildlife Conflicts and its mitigation.
