Porini guest tents are spacious and each has solar electric lights and an en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and safari shower. The camp Chefs prepare good quality meals – hot dishes, fresh salads and home baked bread.
We can arrange Nairobi transfers as well an overnight stay in Nairobi (at a supplement) at the start or end of your safari depending on your international flight times.
Day 1
Pickup from Nairobi at 7 am and transfer by road to Porini Amboseli Camp in Selenkay Conservancy. Settle into camp and have lunch. Later, take a game drive in the camp’s open-sided 4×4 safari vehicle, stopping for a sundowner at a scenic spot overlooking Mt. Kilimanjaro, followed by a night game drive to look for nocturnal animals such as aardvarks, serval cats, caracals, bat-eared foxes, African wild cats, and other species. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
After an early breakfast, enjoy a walk with Maasai Guides in the Conservancy. Take a rest after lunch and then go out on an afternoon game drive to explore the Selenkay Conservancy. All the big cats have been seen in the Conservancy as well as elephants and a wide range of species including large numbers of giraffes, zebra, and antelopes. There are also less common animals to be seen such as the long-necked gerenuk gazelle, lesser kudu and African wildcat. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3
Awake to the noisy calls of the birds. After an early breakfast, we drive through the bush on our private track into Amboseli National Park, for a full morning of game viewing in the camp’s open-sided 4×4 safari vehicle. Following a picnic lunch in the park, we return to camp later in the afternoon. In the evening you will have a sundowner on an observation platform overlooking a waterhole by the camp, where elephants and other animals often come to drink. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 4
An early breakfast, then transfer by road to Nairobi's Wilson Airport. Here at the Safarilink Terminal there is a coffee shop for a snack lunch (not included in price) before taking the flight to the Masai Mara (flight duration approx 1 hour). Met at the airstrip and transfer to the nearby Porini Lion Camp to stay for 3 nights. All the big cats are here in the Conservancy, and this is home to many leopards. There are also elephants and a huge variety of other animals. In the afternoon you will have a game drive with a sundowner at a scenic spot followed by a night game drive with spotlight to search for nocturnal animals, including the elusive leopards, before heading back to camp for dinner.
Day 5
Awake to the natural sounds of the Mara’s birdlife. Leave camp soon after dawn to explore the Olare Motorogi Conservancy on the lookout for elephants, buffalo, giraffe, plains game and the big cats. You will have a bush breakfast out in the wilds and then return to camp for lunch. In the afternoon you will have a further game drive with a sundowner at a scenic spot followed by a night game drive before heading back to camp for dinner.
Day 6
Another day to explore the Conservancies, or take an optional game drive in the famous Masai Mara Reserve* with a picnic lunch in the park and then return to camp in the late afternoon. * Optional reserve fee payable in advance at US$ 200 per adult / $50 per child. NB for 1 July to 30 September we have already included a one day fee to view the Migration in the Reserve.
Later, head out on an evening game drive within Olare Motorogi Conservancy – stopping at a viewpoint for a sundowner. Continue on a night game drive looking for nocturnal animals. Dinner and overnight at Porini Lion Camp.
Day 7
Early morning game drive in the conservancy returning for breakfast. After breakfast leave camp and drive through Olare Motorogi Conservancy, game-viewing as you go, and on to Ol Kinyei Conservancy, arriving at Porini Mara Camp for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the exclusive Ol Kinyei & Naboisho Conservancies. Here there is an excellent chance of sighting lions, cheetahs and leopards all of which reside within the conservancies. Sundowner and night game drive. Overnight Porini Mara Camp.
Day 8
After breakfast explore the Ol Kinyei and Naboisho Conservancies on the lookout for elephants, buffalo, giraffe, plains game and the big cats. You will have a picnic lunch out in the wilds (weather permitting). In the afternoon you will have a further game drive with a sundowner at a scenic spot followed by a night game drive with spotlights to search for nocturnal animals, including the elusive leopards which are resident in Ol Kinyei, before heading back to camp for dinner.
Day 9
Early morning game drive in the conservancy returning for breakfast. Mid-morning transfer to the airstrip for the 11am flight back to Nairobi Wilson airport (arriving 12:20h). Transfer to Nairobi International Airport or a Nairobi hotel*
(* transfer / hotel not included but can be added at a supplement).

Fly Nairobi Wilson - Amboseli (Selenkay) - Nairobi Wilson instead of road transfers: £ 115 per person
Optional Beach Add-On:
We can arrange for you to head to the beautiful white-sand beaches of the Kenya Coast for a few days of relaxation after your safari adventure. Fly directly from the Masai Mara to the coast to relax at one of a choice of hotels, before flying back to Nairobi. Please ask us for more details and prices.
