This award-winning Kenya safari camp is set in the Amboseli eco-system within the exclusive Selenkay Conservancy– an important wildlife dispersal area for wildlife moving out of Amboseli National Park.
The private conservation area ensures the best possible game viewing in proper off-road safari vehicles, off the beaten track and away from other tourist vans and minibuses.
Porini Amboseli Safari Camp is small – with just 10 spacious guest tents – which are tastefully furnished and have solar powered electric lighting with ensuite bathrooms including shower, wash basin and flush toilet.
The Kenyan safari camp provides an exclusive yet friendly experience with a maximum of 20 guests at a time and it is fully-inclusive of all meals, drinks (wine, vodka, gin & tonics, beer, sodas and mineral water) and activities (including day and night shared game drives, guided walks and sundowners). Safari drives are in specially-designed, open-sided off-road (4×4) safari vehicles with expert safari guides.
Day 1 Fly from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to Selenkay or Amboseli airstrip to be met by our driver-guide in the camp’s 4×4 safari vehicle to transfer you on the short drive across the plains to the Porini Amboseli Camp in Selenkay Conservancy. Settle into camp and enjoy lunch. Later head out on an afternoon game drive in the conservancy. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 Wake up at dawn for an early game drive in the conservancy, returning to camp for a late breakfast followed by an escorted nature walk and then lunch. Visit a nearby Masai village to learn about the local culture and way of life. In the afternoon enjoy another game drive in the conservancy with a night drive as you head back to camp driving in the dark with a spotlight for the chance to see the nocturnal animals. Dinner and overnight at safari camp.
Day 3 A final short early morning safari drive in the conservancy followed by breakfast and then transfer to the airstrip for the flight back to Nairobi.
Continue your safari to another Porini Camps or to one of the many the Safari Camps or Lodges in Kenya.
Porini Amboseli Camp can also be combined with one or more of the other Porini Camps as part of a longer safari – see our special offers for itineraries and prices.
